National Sales Manager needed

We are looking for a National Sales Manager with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team as we set out on the next exciting chapter of growth. This role will be responsible for attracting, growing and nurturing Key and National Accounts across the On and Off Trade:

 

Main Duties

 

  • Developing a long term sales strategy to grow the business in order to achieve sales growth targets.
  • Accountable for the direct sales strategy and growing the related volume and margin.
  • Identify and develop new sales opportunities via on trade, off trade and direct sales channels in the UK and overseas.
  • Drive to attain revenue and margin growth goals by staying customer-focused and the ability to work under pressure, think quickly and demonstrate initiative in solving problems.
  • Effectively negotiate Partnership Agreements with key operators to drive sales.
  • Developing strong day to day relationships with existing trade customers.
  • Building and managing a Sales team to nurture and maintain local sales and develop national and international accounts.
  • Be part of a senior management team to help shape the future direction of Harbour’s beer portfolio and business direction.

 

The Candidate

 

  • Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of delivering growth in a senior sales role, for at least 5 years.
  • Trading experience within the BWS sector
  • Trading experience within the BWS sector, beer preferred.
  • Evidence of building effective relationships at all levels across multiple stakeholders and executing joint business plans.
  • Solid understanding of the beer business across the Off and On Trade.
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills;
  • Excellent relationships within the UK food and beverage industry;
  • Self-motivated, excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong sales & negotiation skills;
  • Solid understanding of the beer business across the Off and On Trade.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to use commercial knowledge to increase profit and business growth;
  • Able to work flexible hours and travel.
  • Full UK driving licence.uk
  • 3 Years plus experience of working in a KAM/NAM role.
  • Experience of managing a sales team essential.
  • Evidence of building effective relationships at all levels across multiple stakeholders and executing joint business plans.
  • Proven track record of working independently and delivering results; is self-motivated, and able to manage time and workload to optimise effectiveness.
  • Evidence of an entrepreneurial ’can do’ attitude; is uncompromising, tenacious, ambitious, & relentless.
  • Should positively and professionally represent the company and brand at all times, with a style which is relaxed but professional, informal yet commercial.
